We were appointed as planning consultants to lead a multidisciplined project team
in the preparation of an outline planning application and Environmental Impact Assessment
for a major employment site on the edge of Andover. We prepared an illustrative
master plan to support the submission, which demonstrated how such a large and exposed
site could be satisfactorily developed for up to 45,000 square metres of business
space. Detailed negotiations with the local Planning Authority over the terms of
a Section 106 Agreement, which included major infrastructure provision and the implementation
of an innovative Green Travel Plan, succeeded in delivering a viable planning consent.
We went on to represent the landowner at the Local Plan Inquiry to promote the second
and third phases of development.
