This project won for us a place in The Independent’s Best 50 Modern Buildings. Built
on the site of the Ahmadyya Muslim Association headquarters in South West London,
The Bait-ul-Futuh Mosque is comprised of two prayer halls, each spanning a clear
space of 28 x 36 metres to accommodate 15,000 people. The building is clad in finely
polished fully vitrified tiles and the upper prayer hall is adorned with the traditional
Mosque symbol – an 18m diameter dome. The contemporary external finish of satin
stainless steel identifies the Mosque as a significant local landmark.
