We have extensive experience in unlocking the development potential of sensitive sites in Conservation Areas or involving the conversion and adaptation of Listed Buildings. When the West Berkshire Priority Care Trust declared this former nursing home surplus to requirements, our instructions were to maximise its potential to generate funds to re-invest in health care facilities locally. The site was heavily constrained, but a carefully crafted scheme, worked up in consultation with the local planning authority, succeeded in introducing onto the site new housing of contemporary design and converting the Grade II listed colonial style mansion house into apartments.
