Planning Appeals
We advise on appeal strategy and undertake appeals by way of written representation,
informal hearing and public inquiry. Where appropriate, we will bring together a
team of other professional witnesses and, as Chartered Town Planners, we can also
instruct Counsel through direct access arrangements.
Negotiation and Preparation of Planning Agreements
Sutton Griffin negotiates Section 106 Agreements and advises on the submission of
unilateral undertakings required in connection with planning applications and appeals.
Appraisals
We have considerable expertise in preparing site appraisals for landowners and developers.
This includes identifying and interpreting the planning policy context, undertaking
contextual analysis, assessing constraints and opportunities, and establishing general
development principles. In conjunction with Dreweatt Neate's valuers and agents
we can also assess the valuation implications of potential developments.
Strategic Site Promotion
Sutton Griffin is actively engaged in promoting development opportunities and seeking
to influence policy in the emerging Local Development Frameworks.
Planning Enforcement
We can advise on how to respond to and resist planning enforcement action; generally
this is by means of negotiation with the Local Planning Authority or by formal appeal
