Located in the heart of Newbury town centre, on the former Southern Electricity site, our new store for Waitrose is a crisp, modern building achieved by a carefully selected palette of materials that sympathetically reflect the store’s urban context. Notably, lightweight insulated metal cladding panels; planes of traditional brickwork and clean, open expanses of glazing surrounded by traditional sand cement render. An impressively stepped and landscaped pedestrian access links the store both physically and visually to the primary retail zone of Newbury’s town centre.
